As an information professional, I value human interactions and believe all people should be carefully listened to and treated with respect. Because users increasingly interface with our institutions through computers first, the quality of our technical services and our ability to interface with patrons digitally will either enable us to become information leaders or to consign us to the past. In my career, I strive to discover ways of improving the library user's experience and the library profession.

My areas of special interest include: contemporary art and art history, museum science, managing digital repositories, and open access issues. I have been published in the Oregon Library Association Quarterly and maintain the blog Info Garden.
